After the chaos of the road yesterday we decided not to continue on the same route (E60) for anther 200 miles, but instead try the E79 to Sibiu. Good news - definitely quieter; bad news - it's been a very slow 90 miles. It took us an hour to do 20 at one point. Broken roads, gravel, cobbles, horses, cows we've had it all today. At one point we felt like we were skiing (the bumps in the road were like Moguls). Earlier on they were resurfacing the road in 500 metre sections, which meant we were continuously stopping at traffic lights and at several locations were riding directly on the hardcore - not easy on a bike. It has definitely been an adventurous morning and we've seen some of the best and worst of the Romanian landscape. Made it to an air conditioned McDonald's now so we can take a 30 minute break.
