Yes, just what you want to see from your hotel room when you arrive after the hottest day walk so far. It's fiesta time. When we arrived there was a very solemn process of religious figures being taken in reverence around the town. But now it's party time right outside our hotel window with the noisiest funfair you have heard. It's 11 now and still going strong. All attempts to get a room at the back of the hotel have failed so we've been watching the last ever Beatles concert on the roof of Apple from 47 years ago on the I pad. Thanks to Suzan Holder . We'll be watching highlights from Iron Maiden if this continues. But a lovely day's walk through very very rural Portugal. However it is muck spreading season and we had some eye watering experiences passing some fields. Jane, Rosie and Phil walking with us for ages days and of course find the whole " doesn't Portugal have terrible weather " story unbelievable as it's been fine since they arrived.there are storms due as soon as soon as they leave. I'm getting to the stage of the Camino where I long for some expensive moisturiser, good hair conditioner and a decent hairdryer. I have the complexion of an old fisherman as a result of walking by the sea for a day in spite of sunscreen. Anyway, I'll move on to higher thoughts tomorrow and maybe buy some good face creams.
