In life I have found that quite often things will fall into place. Not always, but a lot of the time I have landed on my feet from difficult circumstances. I can track this pattern back to when I got my job at Maplin electronics after having a month from hell working at McDonalds.
Its funny just what a difference a week can make. I went in to the company on thursday and friday and both days went very well. The company were really welcoming and have a great office in Bowen Hills. After spending two days at the office - the company asked me to stay and I accepted.
I spent the weekend relaxing, unwinding from the stress of worrying about money and the decisions I may have had to take in the weeks ahead. I caught up on my washing and chilled out. Monday rolled around very quickly and before I knew it - my first official day had begun.
The week of work went very well. I have settled very quickly at the company, and gotten to know the other guys. The team are amazing - very talented people working on the forefront of technology, and the project I'm working on is a very exciting one. In addition, its a lot of fun to work in an office with an Xbox and a ping pong table.
Before I knew it, my first 5 days had breezed by and it was the weekend again. I have gone from contemplating going home in 2 weeks, to now looking for a place to live and settle down for a while. I am back to my old cherpy self too, if a little worse for wear having to get up at 6:30 as apposed to 10:30.
