Only an hour or two delay on the train to Hardwar first thing in the morning. Found a cheapish hotel with a friendly bunch of lads working there, who soon bacame friends and had a laugh with. Was gagging for a pee nearing Pathankot, so thought I'd be typically Indian and have a waz up against the wall round the corner from the main street... I got caught and got fined 50Rs! To be fair there was a big sign saying no peeing in Hindi above me (a bloke did warn me I was going to get into trouble!), but the relief was worth it! Didn't think much of McLeod Ganj, probably because I had such a good time in Manali. Again up in the mountains, but this time I experience thunder and lighting. It was just a stop off point to get myself to Amritsar really. Lots of temples and hiking, all I did was stuff myself with cake from a shop called the chocolate log! Got into Manali on my overnight ice cold bus journey from Shimla. Got a rickshaw to a village close by which was said to be more "chilled out" than the town, and that it had a hot spring bath. Got checked in and went to soak my cold bones in the very hot spring bath... ahhh! Went to organise a trip out for a climb, but not really the season, so booked myself up for some snow boarding on the Himalayas! Taking into consideration I had only about 6-8 hour...

What a journey! Got a feeling I've got plently of them more to come. Rattled up the mountain to the hill station of Shimla. No snow... Survived the ride without the releasing of any fluids (appart from sweat), then had a mini trek to a hotel that this tout was taking me to, which turned out to be nice and hospitable.
