Decided to visit shanghai bored of cities but can't not see it,so I jump a train for a few hours stay for the night then fly south.i have to say the skyline is one of the most impressive I have seen .shanghai hasn't changed from the days of a vice ridden city of excess of old the Chinese have cleaned it up but it still remains in high rises all over the city .i have never been pestered more to buy counterfeit goods and sex.the city is the busiest I have been in and it's hot and the fact that beer is as cheap as water doesn't help with the dehydration plus I got savaged by Mosquitos in the tea plantations at least 20 bites so I don't feel great so I decide to go home at 10 and take some anti malarials and get some sleep before my morning flight.waking and feeling better i head to the airport after getting lost for an hour on the tube and worrying about missing the flight,I arrive to find its delayed.flying in to the south of china cheers me up looks beautiful and no more massive cities just mountains rice paddies rivers and unfourtunatly lots more Mosquitos .going to take a bamboo raft down the river in the next few days which will be nice and chilled.
