So I decided to get of the beaten track and head towards Tibet so I get up early and jump the bus kangding first stop on the Tibetan highway half way in to the journey the bus is stopped and heavily armed and decidedly unfriendly army enter the bus and order me of as I'm the only foreigner and ask to see my papers , normally I would be happy to have a British passport but thanks to david Cameron and his tea with the dalia lama we have been blacklisted.after some paperwork I'm allowed back on the bus and we finish the winding mountain roads to kangding.the town is a hive of activity with a high level of police and army .its a town with no English and with no guide book I wander the streets looking for a place to sleep .i finaly find a Tibet guest house and some food and go to bed early.i no that buses leave early so I get up at 5 and head towards the bus station , it's still dark and with a 25 min walk through the backstreets ( still paranoid of travelling in the dark thanks to Africa) so I managed to find a taxi and with sign language get to the station .i buy a ticket to the highest city in the world and get on the bus with a lot of shouting Chinese .only to be faced with a very irate driver who is screaming at me in Chinese pushing me of the bus after a little confusion it seems I didn't get my ticket stamped.so I get back on the bus a get ready for an 8 hour drive over the highest roads in china.
