Ok so after four days of chilling out in yanshuo enjoying the scenery and meeting some interesting people ( including a girl from boston and her five guy mates who took on a 40 strong mob of chinese and got there arses well and truly kicked,forgot to ask if they used kungfu and a independent french journalist with many believable conspiracy theories about Facebook the Dali lama the CIA and the middle east )I'm still not fully recovered .so I debate wether I should stay here a few days longer and try and recover enough to climb the 100 ft vertical cliff face on the mountain that towers above yangshuo .however time is moving and I am not and I no u could quite happily keep coming up with reasons not to leave .so I start tralling the streets looking for a Chinese travel agent who can get hold of a train ticket as there is no station here and after five attempts and several hours later I'm starting to give up hope ,however I am told by another traveller there's only one place in town and they used it a few days earlier.after another 20 mins I find the agency enter say hello in Chinese the lady replays in English so I ask about train tickets after a couple looks at her watch and a frown she says in perfect English ,I am very sorry but I don't speak English .which translated means I can't be arsed!..so I either do a 4 hour return trip to the nearest train station ( which has resulted in a full scale wrestling match with hundreds of Chinese people and no matter how long you stay in china you never get used to being elbowed by a 80 year old woman I've been in friendlier mosh pits)only to be told there's no trains for 5 days or you have to stand in the aisle for the 24 hour journey.so I get on the Internet find a flight and sit back to watch the 100th late night game of beer pong in which the local Chinese girl slams all comers .so I'm of for two bus rides and a four hour flight then a bus a metro and a taxi till I get to chengdu and if I don't feel any better soon I will be visiting the local chinese doctor who after seeing what is eaten here will probably make me drink snake blood and snort powdered monkey penis ,but as they say when in Rome and if it makes me better I will be happy to do it.
