We started to get ready at 08:30 this morning for another morning walk. Only ten minutes away Cala en Brut had numerous picturesque vistas. We had learnt from yesterday and Becky had JJ in the sling, which allowed us to navigate the steps and explore fully. There was a man doing his days fishing, and another jumping in from quite a height to enjoy some snorkelling.
Back on resort we went back to the same spot by the pool. It always takes Becky a couple of days before braving the pool. Today was a changeover so it was perfect. With hardly anyone around we were both able to take turns getting into the pool while JJ slept.
For lunch we headed to a beach restaurant called Pirates Cove. Located 15mins away, Cala en Blanes has a small public beach. Two beach bars and Pirates restaurant. It can clearly cope with many more guests but we were able to sit out on the shaded deck. Our meal only disturbed by two twin ginger cats.
The food was wonderful. Baked Sea bass with chips and salad for me. Becky opted for pork ribs in BBQ sauce. The pirate cocktail I got was a fruity little number. You will have to see the picture.
It’s places like these that made us glad that we didn’t opt for all inclusive for this particular holiday. Our resort seems to be around 15mins walk from everything worth seeing.
Upon our return the arriving guests had crowded out the place. We decided to stay around the apartment. The neighbours and I moving our sun loungers in search of the sun.
We did all go to the baby pool around 16:30. Located next to the main restaurant the water is just as cold as the other pools so it was just a case of dropping JJ’s feet in for a quick splash. No cold water shock today. Temperature wise it’s certainly nice enough to stay out later into the evening. However the mosquitos become active. They don’t pay attention to the spray we brought. JJ has so far been protected by the baby stickers Sophie dropped off for us before we set off.
JJ enjoyed a nice bath, before we again settled in for the evening. Baguette, pate and selection of cold meats to start. Was followed by a main of tuna mayo pasta.
For the rest of the holiday I’m going to take a leaf out of Jerry Springers playbook and give my wife the final thought. So here is Beckys final thought of the day: making memories that will last a life time
