We were woken before sunshine, and got JJ ready for a morning walk. Going out at this time it’s a lot cooler and we were easily able to keep JJ out the sun. We walked further along the road from yesterday. A number of places obviously haven’t survived Covid. There are still many restaurants and bars to be found. We nipped to the Top Market supermarket located outside another set of apartments we had looked at staying at.
Once back we headed to the pool to try out JJ’s floatation device. Becky had brought a hand pump and he was able to float around. The only problem was that the baby pool was too cold. Quickly he was out and dried off. Fresh from cold water shock, he fed then napped in the travel pram.
Becky made us lunch of bratwurst pasta with cucumber and tomato.
The afternoon was first spent to a different section of the pool. Becky and JJ using a canopy for shelter while I resumed sun worship.
We then headed over to Tropical Kiss for a drink in the late afternoon sunshine. Becky {having a baby has made holidays very different. Sitting with my strawberry and mango smoothie, in the shade with JJ in my arms. However, one thing will never change - Jamie talks to EVERYONE! As he’s chatting away to a couple from Manchester a man in a truck pulls up honking his horn to show his friend from the bar the fish he caught while fishing, handing over a fresh fish for his dinner.}
Our apartment is on the edge of the complex with a path straight to a very nice looking restaurant. We headed there for dinner as the sun came down. With plenty of kids in the restaurant we felt relaxed. JJ waited until our mixed paella arrived before also wanting some nourishment. Once fed Becky ate her meal one handed.
The food was amazing and my glass of wine cost less than her Coca Cola. With all three of us having full stomachs, we made the very short walk home.
