Day 62
Started off the day at the Ranting Raven Coffee Shop- coffee and cinnamon roll for Michael, tea and lavender scone for me. Then we headed over to The Grazing Moose Summer Market, a cute little house with a fine collection of art and gifts, plus fresh Alaska fruits and vegetables. We drove around, taking more pictures of the cool murals around town. It was getting even more rainy so we went to the Seward Museum, and saw their historical exhibits about Seward as well as a really good movie about the 1964 earthquake and tsunamis in Seward.
Another great Library Day, we hung out in comfy chairs, watching the rain and clouds, while using their wifi. Did I mention that another drawback about our campground is they advertise wifi, only they fail to mention that you can't get it at your campsite, only in their office which is pretty trashy (I wouldn't want to sit around in there!) Geez!
When the library closed, the rain had stopped and we went downtown to maybe have a beer, but we lucked into their First Friday Art Walking Tour. It was so nice, several of the stores had local artists, displaying their works. Food and drinks were being offered by the merchants, and it was a cool festive atmosphere all around. We saw
pottery, paintings, jewelry, woodwork, even listened to some musicians playing flutes. To end the day, we drove out to Lowell Point Beach and saw a bald eagle on a rock, eating salmon.
