September 4, 2013 Wednesday Day 60 Drove out to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fiords National Park. Hiked about 2 1/2 miles to the edge of the glacier. Beautiful, even in the rain and wind. Our rain gear is really coming in handy. Thankfully my knee is much better. Good enough for a short hike, anyway. September 3, 2013 Tuesday Day 59 We had a delicious breakfast at the historic Hotel Seward, walked around the quaint little downtown, then went to the Alaska Sea Life Center. The Sea Life Center has incredible aquarium displays and marine life exhibits. We saw puffins, murres, and other sea birds; harbor seals, Steller sea lions, octopus - all live exhibits and such fun to watch the dynamics of these animals. September 2, 2013 Monday Day 58 Another on and off rainy morning, luckily there was a break in the rain during the time Michael was outside hooking up the camper. Today we leave Palmer and drive 166 miles to Seward. Michael lived in Seward from 1984-1988 when he was the Assistant District Ranger in charge of recreation, lands, minerals, and special uses for the Chugach National Forest.
