October 6, 2013 Sunday Day 93 Drove 2 hours from Newport, TN to Brevard, NC to visit with Michael's kids and to pick up Max, our dog. Natalya and Ben, (Michael's daughter and boyfriend) have generously kept Max for us while we were on our trip. Very happy reunion, Max wouldn't leave Michael's side. July 8, 2013 Day 1 - we are off to a great start! We left Emerald Isle at 7:30am, had a good drive, arrived in Pisgah Forest, NC around 4:30pm. It was slightly cloudy but beautiful with a mist hovering over the mountains & lake. Our campsite, with it's own dock was right on Cascade Lake.
