When we got to the airport at Goa, our driver had been waiting for us for 4 and a half hours, but was still smiling, so that was a nice welcome. The sun set as he drove us to Vagator and he allowed us to give a lift to a German couple we had met at Delhi airport (Heike and Olaf).
Our accommodation is great (we have our own litle garden house) and in a good location. We slept for about 15 hours last night, then went for a walk around Vagator today. We went down to the beach, which is close by, and walked along to the next two beaches too. It's really hot, so we sat in a shaded beach bar for a while.
As soon as we got to the beach, we were followed by a woman wanting to sell me a sarong, she ws the first of many! There are cows everywhere, particularly on the beach. Also, loads of dogs, including a very cute black labrador puppy. neither the cows or the dogs seen to have homes or owners.
The beaches are so beautiful, and not crowded. There are quite a few people around but nothing like the beaches in Europe.
