Can't seem to work out the editing on this site, so apologies for the spekking mistakes and typing errors, and I'll start a new blog for Goa instead of continuing from the last one!
Spent the last couple of days at our local beaches. They are amazing and the weather is perfect. You can use the sunbeds for free and the barstaff come out to take your order for drinks etc. Today we got 3 bottles of water 2 pieces of water melon whilst using the sunbeds for about 5 hours and it only cost us about 1.50GBP. On the downside we have been asked hundreds of times if we would like to buy sarongs, DVD's, jewellry, frisbees, sunglasses, fruit, etc, etc... I have become very good at pretending to be asleep and at just being plain ignorant! I have also been asked if I would like the stubble removing from my ankles, my hair done, a henna tatoo done, a pedicure or a manicure, whilst Graham has been asked if he would like his eyebrows plucking, the hair removing from in his ears (by burning it) or if he would like a pedicure. We did not realise we looked so bad!
We went to the Saturday Night Market last night and met up with our German friends. It was a bit like a mini Glastonbury. Loads of food and drink stalls and so much tat to buy. It had a really great atmosphere though, with a live band and other areas playing trance music. There seem to be quite a few old Enlish people here who look like they arrived in the 60's and have never left. They are good for entertainment, as they tend to dance a lot and look very spaced out!
On Friday night we went for a curry. I had a fish curry and Graham an egg curry, we had naans and rice, and mineral water and beer and the bill came to 3.00GBP! We also have a bar near to us called the Mango Tree where we go for breakfast and drinks at night. A glass of beer is about 45p and it is about half a pint. This seems one of the only bars to do draft beer, which is much better than bottled. We went to check out Anjuna yesterday and Graham had a very dodgy bottle of beer which tasted of almonds!
