Our day started with a little surprise for Imogen. I had booked this for her knowing she wanted to do it but if she'd known about it may have chickened out. She was nervous at first at face planted into the water but then her nerves eased and she was walking on water before BLAST OFF - video to follow!

A pretty chilled out day in Naples today, spotting dolphins, paddling, swimming, eating and drinking - well isn't that what a holiday should be about? Naples is a beautiful place (expensive) but just wandering around and diving into some of the cheaper looking shops to cool down was a nice way to kill and hour or two. Wow, what a day! Sitting here on a dry balcony at 8pm in 30 degree temperature with a massive thunderstorm going on around us. I don't think I've ever seen such heavy rain! Anyway, back to today... We have been extremely lucky by all accounts as you are three times more likely to be hit by lightning than see a panther, we did see a panther and as I just said we're sitting here in a thunderstorm!!! The water at 9am this morning on our journey out of The Keys was far too tempting to miss. A quick stop at Bahia Honda State Park had us all swimming in the lovely, warm, clear waters. Stopping at John Pennekamp State Park an hour or so later found us kayaking around some gorgeous waters where manatees play but we didn't see any :( We also found a small air museum for Nick's delight where Avery (a cute little old man according to Imogen) gave us a tour. Breathing a sigh of relief we left Miami en route to The Keys. Both Nick and I had this picture in our heads of a picturesque drive with small towns breaking up the route - we were wrong! It's hard to describe really, just one long road with boat yards and restaurants and hotels lining each side. A rare sight of the sea every now and again was welcome and we did stop at a few state parks to have our first game of FrizzBall of 2013. A picnic at one of these park...
