Wow, what a day!
Sitting here on a dry balcony at 8pm in 30 degree temperature with a massive thunderstorm going on around us. I don't think I've ever seen such heavy rain!
Anyway, back to today...
We have been extremely lucky by all accounts as you are three times more likely to be hit by lightning than see a panther, we did see a panther and as I just said we're sitting here in a thunderstorm!!!
Yep, it ran straight across the road in front of us on the 26 mile Loop Trail in the Big Cypress Park. No photos, but the ranger congratulated us on seeing it and told us to buy a lottery ticket!
We also had the pleasure of 3 alligators on our route and a lonely deer.
How amazing to be stood just feet away from an alligator - wow!
Imogen decided that she would eat her dinner in the car today rather than be surrounded by flying things so Nick and I ate ours without those windmilling arms.
So, our first time with a balcony and the wine we bought is "off" - not impressed Walmart!

Maralyn Crook You didn't need to go all that way to see a panther - you just go to Trowbridge where it can be seen snacking on rabbits! Annyway, what are the flying things that Imogen is trying to steer clear of, please? Holiday sounds fab - fresh 'n' fruity!
graffhamsgo Ah but not a Florida Panther, there's only 120 of them left and we saw one!!! Imogen doesn't like anything that flies basically ;) xx
