Well I have to admit that today was far better than I had imagined. I really wasn't looking forward to spending a whole day looking at rockets and spacecraft but it really was fab and I learned quite a lot too!
First we visited Space Shuttle Atlantis in its new home. It just looks like someone has papier mached it together and quite hard to believe it made 33 flights into space. It was an amazing sight as was the Saturn V rocket.
Nick was like a kid in a toy shop, grinning like a Cheshire Cat all day. We then went on to the Astronaut Hall of Fame where, again, I learned a few more facts. Leaving Nick to look more closely, Imogen and I played some interactive games.
We are now settled into our hotel room in Cocoa Beach after a welcoming dip in the pool to cool off after another hot day of fun.
And Dad, if your reading this, those balsa wood models covered in tissue paper were the very start of the space shuttle (it could've been you!)
