Breathing a sigh of relief we left Miami en route to The Keys. Both Nick and I had this picture in our heads of a picturesque drive with small towns breaking up the route - we were wrong! It's hard to describe really, just one long road with boat yards and restaurants and hotels lining each side. A rare sight of the sea every now and again was welcome and we did stop at a few state parks to have our first game of FrizzBall of 2013. A picnic at one of these park...

A lovely 5 mile morning stroll (although we did need to keep crossing the road to avoid direct sunshine) built up our appetite. We stood at the Southernmost Point in Continental US and walked from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. Nick enjoyed his first taste of Key Lime Pie while Imogen and I enjoyed white chocolate FroYo. Both were given ten out of ten.
