Hi!!!! What a weekend we've had!!!! The long drive was well worth it! We found our way to Auckland and the campsite that had been set up especially for the Lions supporters! Only to find that we were to spend the weekend parked on a Racecourse (for Trotting Racing!) and that the bars were in the Stables! The showers and toilets were in portacabins which was an experience, especially if your in the shower and made any sudden movements, as they were a bit unsteady! So to overcome the problem of the Toilets, showers etc.. we set off towards the stables, only to find that the bar was open 24 HOURS....... I won't say any more........... Saturday afternoon we went into the city, which was very busy with the Barmy Army! There we saw Paul and Ian & Chris and Ian Rowntree, it's so nice to see people we know as we spend so much time with strangers!! We set off on a mission to find tickets for the match, and were very lucky to find some one selling them on the street! Even though we werent sitting together we were very excited to get the tickets! So off we went to Eden Park, even though the Lions lost it was great to see the All Blacks play and to watch the Haka! After the match we headed back to the Race course and the 24 hour bar................... We are now in Whangarei, a few hours north of Auckland. We are both very ill with bad colds, and it's pouring down with rain..... bye Fi :/ ROLL ON FIJI!!!!!!!
