Wow I can't believe I have been in Brisbane for 3 weeks now and its only a month until Xmas... time is flying by. Life in Brisbane is pretty rountine now. Im either working or chilling out at home with Mel and Pearl watching lots of tv drama's on sky.

Work is good fun. Apart from the long hours without a break which takes its toll but 6 weeks work in 6 months is not a lot so I shouldn't complain really but those of you who know me will know I will anyway hehe. The people I work with are good fun. I get on really well with all of them really but bonded best with Ryan, Julien, Scott and Fox. I know what you are thinking they are all men but they are a great laugh and the banter we have behind the bar throwing ice cubes at each other and spraying each other with water is a welcome relief. There are a lot of company functions at the moment where we are serving gourmet finger food and cocktails. I have to admit the cocktails are baffaling me but Im getting a few tips from the watressing which must mean I am going a good job which is the most important thing. The 40 minute walk to and from work is doing me good. Losing a few pounds which is nice. Mel and I even go and get ourselves weighed every week so we can see how much we are losing. We are both on target, both just a few pounds off a nice size 12 wahoo. Lets hope we can stick to it over xmas -its going to be tough with all the drinking hehe.

I have got totally hooked on the twilight books. I have manged to read all four books and see twighlight and new moon at the cinema in 4 weeks. I absolutley love them. Thank you Sandra for buying them for me for my birthday. Can't wait to read them again when I get home.

Unfortunately Pearl is leaving Mel and I tomorrow to go and work on a farm fruit picking in Bundaberg. To be fair to her she has pretty down recently because she hasnt managed to find work and I think she needs a change of scenery anyway. I hope it will be good for her and all work out but we are going to miss her a lot. Especially Mel bless her. She will be all alone while I am at work which is a lot at the moment but Im sure she will find something to do like sunbathe hehe - lucky moo. My tan has faded lots and I need to get it back. Byron, Sydney and Fiji will be my time to seriously sunbathe and get it back. Can't go losing my tan - got to make you lot jealous when I get home hehe

We are off out tonight for dinner and a few drinks as a fairwell to Pearl. We have decided to get all dressed up and go out on the town. First time in 3 weeks so Im really looking forward to it. Gives us a chance to get some nice snaps of each other too.

Ive put a couple of pics of our room in the Brisbane album. I know it doesn't look much but its cosy and its home - for the next 3 weeks atleat. I plan to leave on the 14th but we'll see how it goes. Looking forward to seeing byron bay though. It's meant to be gorgeous there and it will be nice to get out of a city for a week.

Right Im off to shower and try and make myself look presentable hehe.
