On Thursday 11th we packed up the car with Nan and Becky and drove to Hot Water Beach where we were staying in a cabin for the weekend. We stopped for a picnic on the way there and for a climb in a tree. When we got to the cabin we had a bit of a relax after unpacking, then headed straight for the beach. The beach has a certain spot that sits on hot springs and you can dig yourself a hot pool in the sand. When you walk through the sea in parts you can feel the hot water under the sand its very strange. We found ourselves a hot spot and dug ourselves a hole and relaxed in the hot water for a while. We then headed back to the cabin for showers, dinner and games.

On Friday we headed to Cathedral Cove for a boat trip. We boarded our speed boat and it took us around the different coves to see different rock formations and sea caves. We then found a spot for a picnic and had a play on the beach skimming shells and making up games. We had a little walk around the town and then headed back to Hot Water Beach and dug another hole, this time right near the hot water springs so we had an even hotter bath this time. We then headed back to the cabin for Steak and then played some games.

On Saturday we drove to Coromandel near the top of the Peninsular and first had a little potter around the town. We then had a picnic in a park and then drove out to a view point and had a little climb up to take some photos. We then drove some of the 309 road passing some cute pigs on the roadside, and arrived at the Waterworks Park. We spent a few hours here enjoying all the different water inventions made of recycled materials, and playing in their park enjoying the Flying Fox.
On the way back we stopped for a quick walk to see some big trees. We then headed back to the cabin and enjoyed some fish and chips for dinner. We then had 3 games of Cheat, Tetris and Snakes and Ladders, and I won every game.

On Sunday we drove back to Cambridge via a massive Gold mine, and via dropping off Becky. We unpacked when we got back and had a bit of a sort. We had pizza for dinner and then got an early night.
