After leaving Brisbane we got stuck in traffic heading south, then we finally saw signs for Surfers Paradise. The k's got smaller and smaller and we were getting excited to be nearly there, then the signs disappeared, after driving for another 5 minutes we realised we had completely driven through and missed surfers paradise. We did a U-turn and headed back, since we had done a lot of research before we obviously had no idea where any of the campsites were. So af...

After arriving at our Youth Hostel we sorted the car out ready to take it to Wicked for its Service the following day. Reception had told us we could use the car park for free, but after we handed over the money they then kindly told us it was filled and we would have to park on the street. We woke up very very early on the Thursday, and for once it was not Graeme who wanted to get up early it was me! We drove for a couple of hours to get to Tin Can Bay where we'd heard you could feed wild dolphins at 7.30am. This was true thankfully, and we arrived just in time to see them come in to the bay. Two volunteers were stood with the 2 dolphins. They then asked for people to queue to buy fish food. Strangely the majority in the queue were kids?? Oh well I...

The first night at Hervey Bay (27th) we decided to pop to the bar and share a bottle of wine. We then played Wii Bowling with an Oz girl and a German guy, and the winner could win a free bottle of wine! We were well up for it! We started the game and it seemed Graeme was really good (probably from all the practise he's had, the rest of us weren't. After leaving the boat we headed back to the hostel to get our gear. The queue at reception was massive to get our passports and laptop back so we headed to the kitchen first to grab the food.
