It was great to catch up with a number of old mates from my table tennis days in Townsville. Sadly my old Townsville and North Qld championship partner Eric Leonardi passed away just weeks before I arrived. I couldn't keep up with them in the veterans now!
It was great to visit the RAAF museum but these days not allowed on the base to reminess!
The strand has been upgraded magnificently and is a credit to all concerned. Sadly the criterion hotel has closed.
