Took a stroll around the town to visit the historical buildings. We undertook an escorted inspection of the Venus battery which was very interesting in relation to the equipment being used in that time, the twenty four hour operation of the plant and the poor working conditions which would have a major effect on family life.
We were able to ride the bikes to town for coffee and had a service completed on the bikes. The bush poet at happy hour was very entertaining.
