At the border crossing we got out of the bus & were directed over to immigration. After getting stamped out of Thailand we came out & saw our rucksacks on the pavement. We still had two small bags on the minibus. We assumed that it would pick us up on the otherside as other people had paid to get all the way to Kota Bharu (we had only paid to the border). But it didn't come, we were getting really worried as the driver had pushed our bags under the seat so he wouldn't have seen them (even thoough he put them there!). Luckily after waiting on the Malaysian side for 10 minutes, a guy on a moped came bombing around the corner with them!

So we were stranded at the Malaysian border as the bus hadn't come through so we all chipped in on a taxi to Kota Bharu. The taxi drivers were so nice (it was 10pm by this time as Malaysia is an hour ahead of Thailand) they waited for us to change Thai Baht into Malaysian currency, then took us to a cash point, thn drove us an hour & a half to Kota Bharu, waited for us to get a boat ticket for the next day & then knocked on the doors of guesthouses to find us a room for the night. Then they nearly drove off without being paid!
