Our first two nights in Siem Reap we spent in a cheap hotel. Not the hotel we wanted to go to but we are used to the motorbike & tuk-tuk drivers totally ignoring us now & taking us to the hotels they get paid commission at! We arrived in Battambang & looked round a few dodgy hotels before we found one that wasn't too bad then we gave Mr Sim a call, who some friends had suggested we get in touch with. We arranged for a motorbike tour for the next day. We went through some remote villages which was brilliant, all the kids wave at you as you go past & shout Hello or Goodbye or we even had I love you & I miss you from a few! Back to Phnom Penh!! We came back for one night to go the carol service & it was very Christmassy! There seemed to be only western families at the bar were it was held & most of them looked like they lived in Cambodia. There was an Australian guy holding the service & a live band to sing the carols along with. The even had home made minced pies & mulled wine! The next day it was onto Battambang......

Getting to Cambodia was really easy. The bus stopped at th border so they could check our passports & visas & we were on our way again. However we were asked to pay $1 for leaving our vacinnation stuff on the bus but we didn't have any money apart from about 3000 dong which is about 15 cents so they left us off!
