Back to Bali for 2 days. This time we stayed in Ubud which is inland. It's a lovely town, there are art galleries and art shops everywhere as well as stone and wood carving shops. It was tough not to buy anything else here but we couldn't take anything wooden into Australia as they are really strict on what you can bring into the country.

We had a 9 hour trip in a mini van to Mount Bromo in Java. The last bit was the worst as it was all windy round the mountains. It was FREEZING! at our hotel which was really high up the mountain. We were woken at 3.30am to take a jeep up to a hill to watch the sunrise over Mount Bromo & 2 other volcanoes that were very close. Kuta was very different from Candi Dasa, much bigger & much louder. We prefered the quieter area! Although we did have 2 surfing lessons, which was good fun. We only wanted to stay a couple of days in Singapore but unfortunately, we couldn't change our flight for 5 days so we ended up seeing quite a lot of Singapore and liked it. It's so clean.
