We had an early start, as today we were spending the day on a speed boat off to Phi Phi Island! Our transfer to the pier seemed to take ages, we waited at one stop for about 20 minutes before our driver came back to say they were a no show. We arrived at the pier, and I am pretty sure we were the last mini bus. Our names were ticked of the sheet. The guide turned to me and said "First or Second time?" I said second, it was the same lady. She remembered me from when I did the same trip with Richard and Laura. I even had exactly the same clothes on as well.! Aaron and Me sat up the front with a family from Leicester, Dean, Becky, Stew and Anna. There was a load of guys from KL that have just finished their studies. We boarded the speedboat, and jetted off to the first stop Maya Bay. The water was not as bad as before, but as we got closer to the bay the waves were massive. So bad in fact that we couldn't even get off the boat at Maya Bay (The Beach Beach!). A little gutted we managed to get a few pictures before leaving. The beach looked the best I have ever seen it. With only a few speedboats that had risked making it to the shore. Only 25 people max. The itinerary was changed a little bit, and we found a quiet lagoon where we were able to jump off the boat! Everyone was messing about, so I got my vest off, and just jumped in with out thinking. The water was warm, and no waves. I swam about a bit before I started to get a bit of a sting in my shoulder. Didn't think anything of it, until I saw a jellyfish swimming away from me... bricking it, I quickly swam back to the boat, and got out the water. People continued to jump into the water with out knowing. I could see Aaron getting ready to jump into the water. As soon as I told him about the jellyfish that stopped him going in ( I know its mean, but I shouldn't have said anything until he was in the water!) You could see them all off the boat, some bright purple. I told Annie our guide, and she said it will be OK. I am writing this so, I cant have died. It did put me off going into the water again.
Monkey Island on Phi Phi Don Island is where the boat pulled up along side the beach, people chucking banana's and bread at the monkeys hanging out of the trees. One even fell into the water, and couldn't get out, until a massive wave bashed him up onto the rock. He was OK. Snorkeling close to where we are having lunch was after Monkey Beach. I decided to risk the water again, and the water was a bit rough, and I couldn't see any jellyfish. I did check all around the boat. The snorkel and mask I was given was crap, so I just swam around for most of the time. Even Aaron came into the water. (He hates sea water!). Then lunch time. It was a buffet and we had an hour on the island. Enjoying the sun, and beach. It was time to leave Phi Phi and head back. On route we were stopping at Khai Beach. Me, Aaron, Dean just sat in the bar. It was paradise. We then found out that Dean and Becky got married in the barcelo costa cancun in Mexico... The same hotel the Harper's stayed in back in 2007. The boat was pretty bad on the way back. As we pulled back into the Pier in Phuket town, it started to rain. Luckily we had just got into the Mini buses back to the hotels. We had arranged to meet everyone in a bar on Bang-La Road. The first thing we did when we arrived back at the hotel was jump in the pool... I had to go and get the airport transport tickets as well.
We had to have Hard Rock for dinner. It was just as good as always. Then we walked down to Bang-La road to meet up with everyone else. We had drinks in the pit stop bar, 1pound a drink! Great, except we have to be up at 6 tomorrow morning, and something told me it wouldn't be an early night. We played a number of games including Jenga, which has now been renamed Changa! I promise it was the longest game I have ever played... Everyone was really good. Well except me that knocked the tower down. But it really could have been any off us at any time. Just bad luck. Losing meant it was my round!!! We also played jackpot! a dice game, and connect 4. I payed a game with the bar girl, and i won in 4 coins..! she didn't seem happy that I bet here... it was so funny, because she was so competitive. (I wouldn't play her again!). I was pretty pissed by now, loads of beer, and shots. I saw something shiny at the end of the bar.! A POLE... I was wasted, pointed to it and the barmaid said yes, So I jumped up onto the bar and did my stuff... ha ha! (Still no crab dance!) All evening the rain had been so heavy, and Bang-La Road was empty. it stopped just long enough for us to cross the road and head to another. By now a load of the KL students had meet up with us, and everyone was talking about going to see another Ping Pong show. The new bar had the tree trunk and hammer and nail game. I think it must have been the beer, but I wasn't as good this time. Aaron was cheating with the barmaid. I still didn't loose which was a plus. Then we headed over to the Ping Pong. You only had to buy a drink for 200baht. This took ping pong to another level. Wildlife was introduced. She pulled out budgies, a massive frog, and off course the normal stuff like ping pong. But now there must have been about 20 of us, in here. The Students were getting a lot of attention from the girls. Aaron kept getting climbed on by an older woman with harry potter glasses... Her crotch right in Aaron's face! I couldn't stop pissing my self. When she wanted her tip, Aaron just said no - She left him alone after that, and went to hunt down another victim. It was now 2am and me and Aaron left saying goodbye to everyone. It was an amazing night, and I meat a wicked bunch of people..! Finger cross I dint feel s*** in the morning for our flight back to Singapore.
