The 280km drive yesterday led us south from Chicago to Cicero, Indiana. Cicero is a nice riverside town about ¾ hr north of Indianapolis and the school in Cicero—Indiana Academy—is a boarding school, so through another friend of a friend of a friend we arranged to stay in one of the rooms at the academy last night. They gave us breakfast at the cafeteria this morning too, which was nice. At the fair we met some more recruiters; Erin Rosen from Andrews University, and Mike Unterseher from Kettering College of Medical Arts based in Ohio.
After the Indiana Academy fair we had a 3 ½ hr drive north up to Andrews Academy, Berrien Springs, Michigan. The academy is on the same grounds as Andrews University, so following the fair we (and all the other recruiters) were treated to a catered lunch in the University's newly refurbished cafeteria along with the Andrews University Enrollment Staff. Once we had had our fill, those who were interested were given a golf buggy tour of the campus. Andrews is big compared to Avondale and the other North-American SDA Colleges & Universities. They have about 1700 undergraduate students and about the same numbers studying graduate courses!
P.S. The entrance and main drive into Andrews University is impressive - check the pics!
