On Saturday and Sunday we did our elephant ride and trek! It was amazing, the elephants were huge and so calm and peaceful to be around, it was a shame that we didn't get to spend longer with them as we only rode them for an hour! Today we decided to have a really chilled day- the owner of the hostel organised a trip for all of us to go to this beautiful lake which most of us went to! It was really great to get to know everyone and spending the afternoon chilling on a rubber ring in the middle of nowhere in this lake was pretty cool! Today we rented out push bikes for the day for 70 baht to cycle round the city - which is the equivalent to about £1.50! We biked around a lot of pretty busy streets and visited a lot of beautiful temples as recommended by our hostel owner, they were pretty cool! We did that for about 5 hours and it was pretty hot! Today we arrived in Chiang Mai! We are staying in a hostel called spicythai backpackers in pretty much the town centre- we're really looking forward to getting stuck in to the huge amount of stuff we can do here!
