In the past few days we've been in amongst the craziness if Bangkok! We visited the grand palace, which was very expensive to get in to but was definitely worth it! It was absolutely stunning, although we couldn't visit some parts because apparently the king was actually there! We also went to Khao San road on quite a few occasions for shopping and for the nightlife. On the street they were selling all sorts of fake stuff, from Adidas to ID cards, as well as stuf...

Yesterday we went to an absolutely stunning waterfall call Erawan Falls- the water was so clear and turquoise! It would have been the best experience ever if it weren't for the huge fish who were insistent on sucking/ biting your feet and legs as you got in the water! A bit like those spa fish but a huge version! There were 7 levels to it, unfortunately we didn't see them all but we saw most of them and they were all pretty, there were huge butterflies everywhere...

Today we (us 2, sam, glen and sophie) arrived in the historical town of kanchanaburi after approx 20 hours of travelling! We visited 'death bridge'- which was built during ww2 under the Japanese army by hundreds of thousands of prisoners of war- quite a large amount of them British. Today we visited another waterfall which was much bigger and easier to access than the one yesterday! It was very scenic...as we missed the sunset at the canyon by about 2 minutes yesterday so we decided to go back today and got some great pictures as you can see! :) trying to sort out our transport down to kanchanaburi and Bangkok at the moment and we might go and see a pretty cool cave tomorrow - still loving Pai! :D

Today we went to a waterfall and also went to visit Pai canyon which isn't exactly the Grand Canyon but its still a beautiful place! Yesterday we also went to a really posh hotel resort to go to some hot springs which were really nice but as the name suggests- very hot! Tonight we are going back to the canyon to watch the sun set as its meant to be incredible and then go for a nice meal for valentines day! :)
