Today we (us 2, sam, glen and sophie) arrived in the historical town of kanchanaburi after approx 20 hours of travelling! We visited 'death bridge'- which was built during ww2 under the Japanese army by hundreds of thousands of prisoners of war- quite a large amount of them British. Thousands died while making the bridge which is how it got its name. We also visited a temple on the side of the River Kwai which was very quiet- we were the only ones there so we still aren't sure if we were meant to be there..It was very nice though! :) we also went to a war museum which we thought was the top attraction here but after checking trip advisor we realised we were at the wrong one- so tomorrow we'll go there and visit the best waterfall here too! Also had the best meal we've had so far tonight- steak and chips! :D will let you know how the right museum was tomorrow! :P
