In the past few days we've been in amongst the craziness if Bangkok! We visited the grand palace, which was very expensive to get in to but was definitely worth it! It was absolutely stunning, although we couldn't visit some parts because apparently the king was actually there! We also went to Khao San road on quite a few occasions for shopping and for the nightlife. On the street they were selling all sorts of fake stuff, from Adidas to ID cards, as well as stuff like deep fried scorpions! It was a wicked place to soak up the business of it all! Another highlight of Bangkok was the Sky Bar situated on top of state tower.. Cocktails were roughly £15 each but it was very fancy, imagine the Thai equivalent of Claridges and you're almost there! It was the place where the Hangover was filmed, which is quite cool. Dress code was formal, for example no flip flops, however the boys sneaked in with socks over flip flops which was pretty hilarious. And so, that was Thailand... crazy, excessive, fun, cheap - overall the best time. Now, a 13 hour journey to Christchurch! Bring it.
