For the past couple of days we have been back in Rotorua! This time round we wanted to fit in Hobbiton (the shire from The Lord of the Rings films) and also the geyser park! Hobbiton is what Frazer has wanted to do since we decided we wanted to go to New Zealand so he was extremely happy that we got to go! It was pretty cool to go there knowing that the cast had filmed there so many times and we found out some pretty interesting facts like how there was a pear tree growing there but as the books had said there was a plum tree they took all of the pears and the leaves off and replaced them with fake plums and leaves for about 3 seconds of filming in the background! The tour was topped off with a lovely cool apple cider in the green dragon pub from the film! We went to the geyser park the next morning to see a 30 metre one- we also saw our first kiwi birds so that was really nice too :) now off back to Taupo!
