Yesterday a big group of us decided to go on a 4 hour walk to see the glacier from a different angle (it's so spectacular we couldn't resist!) and it was great to see it from the ground as you really get to see how huge it is. We got some pics of it and a pond called peters pool which was beautiful. It's so strange how quickly the temperature changes as you get nearer to the glacier- in town we were all boiling in t shirts and by the time we got as close as we could we were desperately trying to keep warm in our hoodies! Later that evening we used our free passes to get into the hot pools which we got through going on the glacier trip. It was a really nice spa kind of place so when all of us turned up from the kiwi experience I don't think the couples who had paid quite a lot of money to have a few hours peace were too happy! But oh well, we had a great time! The next stop is Wanaka for one night where we can really chill out and see the lake, before hitting Queenstown!
