Hello all! So today we travelled 4 hours to Auckland via Matamata aka Hobbiton (we will visit it properly on the way back). It's the 5th largest city in the world and its located on a volcanic plateau, it's brimming with Maori culture and, after a walk around, we decided we love it! We visited the Sky Tower today and got some sweet as views of the buzzing city! The harbour is particularly impressive as you may see from the panorama posted above, it's crammed with yachts.. Apparently one in five people living in Auckland owns a boat which is quite a lot! We also saw some super yachts as well; one of them was worth a billion NZ dollars! Not too sure what the plan for tomorrow is, we may beach it as its been a while. Tonight we also cooked - here goes my characteristic, detailed narrative of what food we eat - wraps which we were inspired from our trip to Derbyshire last year! We're cooking our own food from now on which works out much cheaper! Plan for tomorrows dinner is a stir fry - we learnt the recipe in Thailand at the cookery school. Anyway, about to write some postcards and crash out. Standby for tomorrow!
