What do I love about Cambodia, who knows it's not that I ever thought I would
It's dirty, rubbish everywhere they just throw it on ground.
Kids are happy playing with nothing, just happy being together, either with stones or twigs an old tyre playing football with an empty water bottle or mucking about in what to us looks like grotty dirty water.
There is a lot of bikes here, no stabilisers but you will see all ages all sizes on different bikes, whether big or little either..
Kids taking there family cows for a walk maybe for a cool down or swim with them.
Travelling around I never get feed up with looking all the houses are different
Whether they be brick or wood on stilts or just a shack it's someone's home.
Communities all working together building trenches or just something that improves there living situation.
Washing hanging out anywhere they can hang not usually with pegs just on trees or fences.
Then out of nowhere is a beautiful Pagoda as like most places money is in the churches.
Weddings held anywhere mostly on the roadside depending how rich or poor they are to how it's set up.
Whole villages turning out in there best finery over the 3 days of festivities.
Never seems to be at a Pagoda !!!
Motorbike has just gone past the bus with the whole family on, mind you this time I didn't see the ducks or chickens hanging there.
It is very hot here unbearable most of the time, I dread to think what the rainy
Season is like, as I just missed it. But I imagine very muddy.
But out of all of that they are happy people who have been through a lot and still are,as deep down they are not happy with there government. Who suppress's them from getting on or letting them better themselves.
They feel life's haven't improved since The Khmer Rouge, people that speak out get shot by government so they all talk amongst themselves about what they would like.
You either have big money people who are not interested in helping others, or people that devote there time to helping out the kids, to help them get a better life.
Kids want to learn English and turn up in there spare time to anyone that will help them learn. Can't imagine a western kid turning up in the evening just because someone is giving them time !!! They get up to go to school at 5.am
