7.00am start on bus to Phnom Penh, am I glad that's the last one for a while.
It's taken 7 hours of no comfort I would say , plus no air condition. Very bumpy roads and a view from the front seat I could have done without, and a driver that lives on his hooter.
Not the best bus company.
So I'm not sure a detour to Battambang was a good choice due to the transport. Oh well it's past news.
Well including today I have four days of travel to get me to Hobart , 2 plane trips to Melbourne. That's hopefully tomorrow 10th arriving at destination in the morning of 11th at 7.25am as I will miss connecting flight to Hobart I will have to stay over then travel on the 12th, to Hobart . Have just heard that June and Vanessa are to meet me in Hobart, so that's great then we will all travel to Stanley the next day.
I have been to the post office this afternoon, to send home extra bits I've collected & sorted out what I can't take with me anything useful (clothes, trainers etc) I am to drop of at a place where Alan can collect and take back to Takeo.
So possibly no blog from me for a while, as although have been in a country that is quite poor I have had Wifi everywhere. As in UK I will possibly have to pay from now on and it won't be as easy to assess.
Strange but true.
My time in this part of Asia has been amazing and as you have probably read I have had a great time.
Things that I will miss are the people's happy faces, comrade of the people, tasty food, Sunshine, cheapness of everything, bustle, fresh coconut, the excitement everyday has brought, markets with all that lovely fresh produce, road traders and there great food, motorbikes, Tuktuks, and of course the great kids.
Things I won't miss are
The dirty habits mostly the men have, not putting paper in the toilet, beggars, some of the smells and the dirty places.
I'm sure there is more of both but I can't think of them at the moment. But I will return I'm sure.
I have met some lovely people while here, some of whom I will keep in touch with, whatever nationality. That's the good thing about travel you meet great people.
I am now off to Aussie to visit all the lovely friends I made whilst travelling there 13 years ago.
Before I return to you lovely people back home, by then the sun should be shining.
Love me . Xx
