Well it's Saturday 22nd Oct and I found myself on a flight to Phnom Penh ,thankfully. At 3am your time I was devouring Broccoli,ham & omelette it was either that or dim sum. !! For breakfast. !!!!!
Sleep eluded me last night my body is very confused,on day and night.But all is good.
Everyone wrapped up on plane as though they flying into UK. Does make you think many different nationalities and cultures all flying around the world constantly.
I'm dressed in summer attire which I am happy about as stepping off the plane it's 30degrees and humid.
The picture I have used for today is what I first saw as I came out of the airport,thought I am going to like it here.
I grabbed a cab,plenty ready to harass you. Headed for the Mekong Place Hotel I was booked for Sunday night not Saturday but luckily it is free.
What struck me on the way to hotel was that I was glad not to be driving, traffic everywhere with at least 4/5 on a motor bike. Have learnt since you take your life in hands crossing the road, tonight I even grabbed a police man to get me over, earlier I asked a local. All very friendly here and English is excellent but you do get pestered ,comes with the territory I guess.
My room is basic for 2nights but, For €18 dollars can't expect more.

The hotel over looks the river Bassac which all run into the Mekong river. There is a lot of debris in the water trees etc from the latest floods I guess.

Had a pizza and beer for supper, couldn't eat it all so took it away.

Thought I might want it later. !!!!
I reckon deep down I knew I would give it away as I don't even like pizza that much. Before ten minutes had passed some begging kids had run off with it excited to show there mother and share it with siblings. Felt bad I had eaten half,that is going to be the problem here I think.

You can buy anything on the streets for those that haven't been to Asia like me it's as you imagine
Can even get weighed little old ladies with scales.I would be to embarrassed to get on them see how heavy I am. Probably tell me it will do me good to be here,eat bit of rice.

It seems to be even busier at night than the daytime I'f that's possible. Different Music set up all along people doing aerobics,dancing,etc.
Think I'm might go back down find a bar get free wifi watch the place come to life. Maybe phone home
Well I don't want to bore you, so I will wind up soon.
I can't believe the itouch it's amazing so easy to do blog and contact home. Think the family are wondering if I've really gone, in there lounge more than when I was home.
But it will get less now I have arrived safely in time to be picked up Monday morning for a 70 mile ride to my new home and start at the orphanage in Takeo.

Thankfully I feel comfortable here let's hope it lasts. They would only give me a month visa but I'm hoping can get another at the end of month.probably a way to get more monies of tourists.

Tomorrow I'm thinking of getting a tuktuk and go and see the sights,the killing fields are not to far.Reckon that might be sad.
Well my friends hope that updates you without boring you with my adventure .
