25th - 3rd sea day.
There's not a lot I can say about the sea days... We get up when we like and wander around, going to the buffet when we're hungry, finding a bar when we want a drink and finding entertainment along the way.
This morning we had a cuppa at the buffet then headed down to guest services to ask about the 2 charges to our account for $42.48 from the Grand Pacific dining room where we'd had dinner last night. I don't know what made me look but when we got to our cabin after dinner we checked our onboard account on the TV and had found nearly $85 in charges we just hadn't made. The guy at guest services printed out an account and got us to mark the wrong entries and asked us to come back later once he'd had a chance to check it out so we headed to Grand Pacific to have breakfast.
After breakfast we went back to guest services and voila..... The excess charges had been removed. Just made us wonder how many people don't ever check their accounts and have accounts settled by the pre authorised credit cards with erroneous charges!
We went along to a "Name that Tune" trivia at Magnums and spotted a couple we'd done trivia with before so sat with them.... Rodd and I were hopeless at this particular trivia cos it was songs from the 50's and 60's but the others got just about all of them right! From here we went up to Spinnakers for Bingo..... Yeah I know....the things that amuse us! We nearly won, we had 2 bingo cards that were only one number off but someone else called bingo before we could get the last one!
Lunch and a wander around the decks to check out the rock climbing wall and golf nets, Rodd was going to have a hit but all the clubs were left handed... What's with that?
We were in the casino by 1.30 to sign up for the cruise critic Slot Pull so decided to have a bit of a flutter. I picked a likely looking machine so we started playing, only 50c bets and got a good pay so I said to Rodd "let's play it down to 65 and take that out" when I pushed the cash out button it said "printing voucher for $650" ... What? Here I was not even paying attention and we'd won $650!!! How awesome is that! That paid for all our port excursions and purchases!
The CC slot pull was fun even though we didn't win the big jackpot.... Everyone started with $15 and had three $5 spins or one $15, whichever they wanted. It was a lot of laughs and when all were done we got $14 each back so good entertainment for $1!!
We were exhausted after all that activity so of course had to have a nanny nap! Night time consisted of a round of bars and music. Ending at Spinnakers where they had a tribute to Glen Miller, very easy listening with couples getting up dancing. I had another major Dad moment watching one particular couple, they obviously had been married a long time and it brought back so many fond memories of ballroom dancing with Dad and watching Mum and Dad dancing together. Once again I had to race off to the Ladies to have a cry and then pull myself together!
Tomorrow is our first port day.

barby I must say that ship is a tad more up market than the Princess one we went on! Everything is so stylish and well, expensive looking. Lovely ship, in other words.
