FARFRUMWURKEN
I finally have been able to add my photos to the various destinations so for those who are interested have a quick look - Mexico can be very beautiful.
We arrived on-time into Long Beach (Pier 92) on schedule and our departure time was set for 10:20 a.m. so we had some time for breakfast before heading to our departure point, The Explorer's Lounge.
With a pretty long lineup and an announcement that they were running behind by some 45 minutes, we decided that we had to make a move early or we'd miss our flights out of LAX. So we got in line and got off in time for our Prime Time Shuttle Rendezvous.
Cruise travel is a funny thing. Who would have thought that our 946 foot ship weighing in at 115,875 lbs. with a fuel capacity of 750,000 U.S. gallons could cover some 2200 miles over this 7 day period. It truly is like having a traveling hotel as it never seems that you're going anywhere except each day you wake up and see something new. It's really a great way to travel.
We made our Alaskan Air flight with time to spare and again NO bag fee of $25.00 per. How we avoided this down and back charge as compared to Tom who had to fork out $100.00 total to Air Canada I'm not sure. Of course it was cool and raining when we touched down - the car had not been vandalized during it's time at the Holiday Inn Richmond so we got to Tom's and chowed down on Chinese and then headed home.
We've got 2 1/2 have months before we get going again so stay tuned.
