Day 2/17 Boadilla - Sahagun
A great sleep, up, out and on our way by 0835. Breakfast in Fromista - 6k in. Great coffee and potato pie. All and all a good 65k biking day. For me a lot better than yesterday. Much flatter smoother paths and a bit of road work with low level climbs and good long decents .
Obviously the padding on my behind provided more comfort than Mike’s and he was suffering more. Final destination Sahagun.
Quite a large village in comparison to most - 2,000 pop. Hotel clean and comfy.
The picture today is looking North from our path to the Cantabrian Mountains.
“The Cantabrian Mountains or Cantabrian Range (Spanish: Cordillera Cantábrica) are one of the main systems of mountain ranges in Spain. They stretch for over 300 km (180 miles) across northern Spain, from the western limit of the Pyrenees to the Galician Massif in Galicia, along the coast of the Cantabrian Sea.”
A bit of geography for you all!
Looking forward to our evening meal and to being horizontal very soon after.
