Three days getting reacquainted with this beautiful city. We love everything about it, but the show must go on. Bikes have been delivered, excess luggage arrangements in place to be forwarded to Santiago for our arrival, in hopefully 24 days. Hoping the wet weather gear can stay at the bottom of the pack and our journey is a safe one.

On Sunday when we arrived in Burgos we headed to Cathedral Square. It was abuzz with locals and pilgrims having lunch, enjoying the glorious spring weather. We watched as pilgrims arrived after a days walking, being awestruck by the beautiful cathedral, greeting other pilgrims, who have shared their journey so far, with hugs of joy to be here. The last time we were in Burgos was September 2016, when we finished our first stage of the Camino de Santiago. We started in SJPP and walked 300k. We left many people in Burgos who continued their journey to Santiago. A few we have kept in touch with and who will understand our need to complete the Camino.
