Day 299 (Monday 29th September 08)

Used the internet quickly again in the morning and then checked out. Went and parked by the marina and walked out and up onto one of the Solitary Islands. A nice view back over Coffs Harbour. Saw our first snake in the wild only just off the path. The couple that told us about the snake said they thought it was a tiger snake. Warned a few other with young kids as it was only just of the path in the long grass. Carried on back to Hoki Poki. Then went on to find out about the swimming with dolphins. Couldn't book in for it until Friday so decided to think about it while we went off to the Carobana Confectionary Factory. Here got showed how they make the honeycomb which was very interesting. Also got to try some which was very good so of course got tempted and bought some! It was then back to book the swimming with dolphins as we had decided we could head south and come back for that. Decided to get on our way straight away and so headed down to Urunga. Not a very far journey so read our books once we were there after a look around. Found somewhere to cook and sleep for the night. As we were just about to get into the back and shut up the curtains we spotted our first wild dingo! Came wandering across the road looking around for food and then carried along on the path around the corner.
