Emma & Fuzzy's Travels
Hello again! Hope everyone is doing well, we are great! First of all, I have came to the internet cafe armed with camera and some kind of lead, unfortunately I have not brought the other lead, so photos are not here yet!! Will try again tomorrow. As you all know, I am a novice with the gadgets!
I am in the smelly cafe, that is cheap and looks straight on to the 'cross'. It is value entertainment, I can assure you and I may become a bit distracted due to the goings on.
So, we have had a really busy week. Fuz had a job interview on Monday, which was successful and he started on Wednesday. He was a bit gutted that he did not get a start on the building sites (as he had dreamed of) and so did not have to buy 'worky' boots (you know the ones that look like ankle boots, but have a steel toe cap). Of course, he could still buy them, but it might get a little warm in the office! However, there is a shoe shop at the train station, so he at least is able to touch them everyday, which he does.
I phoned a few places for work on Monday and had interviews on Wed and Thurs. I also registered with a couple of childcare agencies, but they are on an as and when basis so it's not great. The money they pay is also pretty poor for what i would be doing, but it's better than nothing.
On Tuesday we went out for Anzac day with Verity, who i worked with in East Lothian. She is from Sydney and was here for 4 weeks holiday. Anzac day is a rememberance day for the war. It was a bit like a cross between rememberance Sunday and the Riding of the Marches (apologies to non Annan people who might not have heard of R.O.M, it's a kind of gala day with lots of pipers and alcohol). So, that was basically it - pipers, horses, ceremony, booze and good craic! We went out early afternoon and got home about 9.30pm. Fuz was starting his job the next day at 10am, so we were fairly sensible. His first day was fine, but quite a quiet office, so not much craic! At least it's in a nice area, so he can at least stare out of the windows and dream he is in the sunshine! By Thursday he was working 11 hour shifts and thinking he was back in Grangemouth!
