So the island everyone raves about... It's cool and pretty chilled in the day. The temperatures up to about 3 pm are so high it's hard work being out in the sun. The beach is nice enough but the water isn't all that clean. Just a lot of sea debris so you come out a little dirty. Sadly there's no clean water showers so I bailed on trying to catch some rays. Maya bay....from the Beach is meant to be lovely but I didn't fancy going. The hotel I booked - Beacha Bar- is really nice and so my sleep is too important to me. I have a really comfy bed and the place is modern and fresh and caters well for the 'flash packer' market.
By night the island comes to life with really crazy fire shows and mad bars till 4 am every night! Haha! In fairness, two three days is enough unless you are a crazy party animal. Next stop Koh Tao. Chill out time!
