Well this was the the first boat trip out of Krabi! Originally I was supposed to head to Reilly Beach but Katharina twisted my arm. The trip started with an interminable wait for the Boat Taxi to get enough passengers but once we had 8 we were away. The long tail boat was awesome; a beat up piece of crap but once we were in open water you quickly forgot. The journey took about 45/50 min but it was stunning. As you left Krabi town and the river with its various tributaries the you could quickly spot the huge limestone rocks and cliffs far in the distance. As we approached Reilly all I can say is that the photos don't do it any justice. The entire area is stunning. Tonsai Bay is a little way round the cliffs and definitely not your typical tourist location. Much more hippy and basic on every level. As it's largely wooden infrastructure is literally built into the jungle seafront. It's beautiful!
