Whistlestop visit to Bangkok for three nights. After a stupidly long journey, 19 1/2 hours stupid via a night boat and coach I arrived at Bangkok Coach Station. Jumped in a Taxi Meter and headed to the hostel I had chosen. Amazingly the 21km journey it cost 146 Baht (c.£3). I was amazed at how big Bangkok was but also how the wealth so obviously towering across the skyline is surrounded by poverty and filth. I arrived at the Bodega hostel and was really impresse...

So after my PADI wobble/fail I was feeling pretty rubbish. Sooo wanted to see the sealife and baby sharks. By chance I bumped into one of the girls from the PADI course that I quit. The guys were going snorkeling in Ao Leuk and would I like to come. I of course had to go. Arrived in Koh Tao yesterday. The journey was good with a lovely/fast coach ride from Krabi to Surat Thani port. After a short wait we all boarded the catamaran....my first experience in one so I was excited. As expected, the journey was smooth and that feeling of rising up out of the water was very cool. Ooooo also met the special effects artist that created Red Dwarf's Kryton and all the spaceships, Jurrasic Park, Moulin Rouge, Star Wars, Spitting Image. How go...

So yesterday Angela and I headed back to the Pak-Up Hostel after our trip to Koh Phi Phi Island. The return was welcomed. The hostel is a wonderful place to meet people! Every day new stories, experiences and advice is shared! It's great! Today a few of us headed to AoNang beach, and after jumping on a bus we set off. So the island everyone raves about... It's cool and pretty chilled in the day. The temperatures up to about 3 pm are so high it's hard work being out in the sun. The beach is nice enough but the water isn't all that clean. Just a lot of sea debris so you come out a little dirty. Sadly there's no clean water showers so I bailed on trying to catch some rays.
