Hi blog readers. This is a picture of the prawns we bought before leaving Carnarvon but rest assured we did not eat them all at once, we were able to freeze some as they were so fresh.
The drive from Canarvon to Hamelin Station took us through a 15 minute rain shower something the van had not seen for a very long time. Hamelin Station is a awesome place to stay while is in the middle of nowhere it has very modern facilities and is set up to be very Eco friendly with large indoor and out door dining areas and a huge up to date kitchen. As seemingly usual we meet up with some past friends/campers who as a hobby had their own vineyard so I had to accept a bottle of their red wine which made it another very enjoyable night with them and a few other campers.
Then during the night apparently there was a very heavy rainstorm again which I did not hear due to the lovely wine!!!
The weather although windy was still nice and warm when we arrived in Shark Bay which is in a world heritage area and very tropical looking. Booking into a camp here in Denham was not such a problem as we had thought might be, so after a nice walk along the waterfront we drove out to a historic sheep shearing homestead with many relics of the past. We also in that short window of time bumped into the couple we had watched the rugby and had dinner with the week before. We then settled into our camp and cooked a big feed of fried rice in our wok alfresco style. Tomorrow we head to Monkey Mia for the day.
Bye for now.
