Hello all. After viewing a run down seaside motor camp we opted to book in at a newish looking motor camp that has been set up for about to accommodate a large workforce that are building a new gas refinery. It has rows of caravan/ containers that have three studio units in each one that the workers that fly in for their 12 hour 7 day 4 weeks shift live in. They then get a week off. It also has 2 two storey blocks of units of the same size rooms and another very building for dinning with a bar and a movie lounge. All buildings are cyclone proof and laid out like a modern army barracks but the workers say it's a good place to live as they are very well paid and fed with pick up and drop off to their worksite. It was a very different but pleasant experience staying there in this very small sea side town. Next morning after seeing all that the town had to offer we began on the long road out by 11am heading to our roadside freedom camp at Barradale . It's a very big area that could accommodate about 100 vehicles and had toilets and a dump station. If there was a freedom camp like this every 200km along main highways freedom camping would be just so great. Hear that councils !!! Tonight was the first time for months that clouds started to appear from the south. It had to happen sometime as we headed south and that's telling us to slow down.
